Q. Is it safe?
A. Yes. I understand that you may be concerned about using your credit card to shop on the internet, but this information is kept secure by utilising SSL encryption. (Secure Socket Layers).
All your ordering information - including your name, address, and credit card number - is encrypted using a secure server for maximum security. Your credit card and billing information cannot be read as it travels to my ordering system.
Did you know that credit card transactions on the web are roughly 10,000 times safer than handing your card to a waiter in a restaurant?
Q. How do I register at the Writing & Publishing Directory?
A. Simply click here and hit the "register" button found on that page. Fill out the form and click the next button. A verification email will be sent to you. Follow the instructions within the email to activate your account.
Q. How do I open my download?
A. I recommend the following software downloads. Adobe's Acrobat Reader is a good peice of kit and essential for reading my books in pdf format. Pdf is proprietary and requires Acrobat reader to view. I like to use Winzip for compressing my ebooks for download. You will need WinZip to open your downloaded archive.
Q. How do I submit an item?
A. Once your account is active, submitting a listing is very easy. Click here to load the main page of the directory into your browser. Next, click upon the "submit an item" button. Enter your email address and password and hit the "Next" button.
The form on the next page requires that you enter the details of your listing such as the headline, author, publisher and description. When you have completed the form, click the "Next" button to upload your photo. Finally, click the "Upload" button to complete the process
Q. Why can't I login?
A. There may be many reasons. Have you activated your account using the instructions in your activation email? If the answer is no, you must do this BEFORE you login.
If your account is active, check that you have entered your email address correctly. Also, you must ensure that the email you enter is the same as that on file within your profile (entered at registration) If your email is correct, check that you have entered your password correctly. Passwords are case sensitive and must be entered exactly.
Q. I haven't received my activation email. Why not?
A. The only reason for this is an incorrect email address specified within your profile (entered at registration). Activation emails are used to verify your email address. A spelling mistake or invalid email address will throw up an error code to inform Ebook Heaven admin of a problem.
Typically, activation emails are generated instantaneously. If, however, you have not received your email within an hour or two of registration, you should email Ebook Heaven at the following address: service@ebookheaven.co.uk
To your message, please add your name and the email address that you used within the directory. Please double check all spelling.
Q. When I submit my books, certain words keep failing. Why?
A. Ebook Heaven's Writing & Publishing Directory uses a routine within its programming that checks for certain censored words. These words, when entered by a user, will cause your posting to fail. You will be informed of the offending word(s) so that you can re-compose your listing.
There is no appeal with regard to which words are censored. Ebook Heaven reserves the right to maintain a censored words list, and in addition, Ebook Heaven reserves the right to edit or delete any listing it considers offensive or in bad taste. Ebook Heaven will not tolerate any listing that in anyway propagates racial hate and or violence.
